This gentleman's knife is made from Damascus (a combination of 15N20 and 1095 carbon steel) with moose antler handles, red liners, and mosaic pins - an absolutely classic combination! Because I wanted to leave as much bark and texture on the moose antler as possible, the handle has a lot of rustic character and natural charm. With a 2.5" blade, 7 3/4" overall, makes it a perfect EDC fixed blade knife. The tang tapers down to wafer thin at the butt, the blade tapers distally toward the tip giving the spine of this knife a diamond shape profile. All the weight balances on the second pin making it very lively in the hand. Its thin edge makes the sharptail 2 terrifyingly sharp! While you wouldn't want to use this fine blade to pry up nails or hack through cable, it would be perfectly suitable for fine precision work like cleaning birds and trout or even as a paring knife for kitchen chores during the offseason. Don't let its small size fool you, this blade could easily take on the task of caping out big game for taxidermy mounts.
It comes with a simple black leather hip carry sheath.
